Smoke
A fire does more damage than just destroy a building or personal property. Smoke gets behind cabinets, into closets, attics and air ducts often leaving a soot deposit and creating odor problems, along with depositing an acidic residue on your contents and belongings.

The water used to put out the fire sometimes causes more damage than the fire itself. Deodorization
Many different types of sources can cause odor. The most common causes are fire, cigarette smoke, mold/mildew, dry/wet rot decay, cooking and animals (skunks) and pets. Each type of odor requires its own unique approach, which can vary from incident to incident due to the nature of the occurrence, how the building is constructed and the materials used. Even a milk spill can cause a serious odor if left unresolved. Generally all odor issues can be resolved, but just wiping the area may not be enough to permanently remove the smell. A structural loss can be an overwhelming experience, and in many cases involves personal property damage. At Four Star we maintain a 22,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility to decontaminate and store all your salvageable contents and personal property. Our facility is secured with an alarm and video monitoring system and is also temperature controlled.
When one of our crews responds to your loss of contents, each item is carefully inventoried and expertly packaged as if it were our own. At our warehousing facility, the items are meticulously cleaned, then stored in secured and video monitored wooden vaults. Four Star is also fully equipped to clean and restore your contents on site as a viable option given your particular loss.
