HBA

The Home Builders Association of Northern California is a professional, non-profit association committed to promoting housing for people of all income levels and the production of quality homes. HBANC's membership comprises about 1,000 home builders, trade contractors, suppliers and industry professionals in the Bay Area.

Through HBANC, members can confront and obtain solutions to a multitude of building-related issues. HBANC links the individual member to the entire industry by providing information, educational and technical services, as well as networking opportunities through meetings and special events. Responding to the varied specialties within the home building industry, HBANC also has individual councils and committees that address issues from our members' unique perspectives.

IFMA

IFMA is the largest and most widely recognized professional association for facility management, supporting more than 18,500 members. The Association's members are represented in 125 chapters and 15 councils in 65 countries worldwide. Globally, IFMA certifies facility managers, conducts research, provides educational programs, recognizes facility management degree and certificate programs and produces World Workplace, the largest facility management-related conference and exposition.

Indoor Air Quality Association

The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) was established in 1995 to promote uniform standards, procedures and protocols in the Indoor Air Quality industry. In 2005 IAQA's membership was consolidated with two very similar organizations: The American Indoor Air Quality Council (AmIAQ) and the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO). IAQA emerged from the consolidation with 5,566 members as of January 1, 2006.

IAQA is a non-profit, 501(c)(6) organization. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in IAQ. Current members come from a diverse range of professions and trades including Environmental Consultants, HVAC Practitioners, Design Engineers, Restorers and Remediators, Industrial Hygienists, Building & Facilities Managers, Attorneys, Manufacturers Reps and many others in related fields. IAQA is an international association headquartered within the Washington, DC metropolitan area, in Rockville, Maryland.

Better Business Bureau

BBB sees trust as a function of two primary factors - integrity and performance. Integrity includes respect, ethics and intent. Performance speaks to a business's track record of delivering results in accordance with BBB standards and/or addressing customer concerns in a timely, satisfactory manner.

BBB ensures that high standards for trust are set and maintained. We exist so consumers and businesses alike have an unbiased source to guide them on matters of trust. We provide educational information and expert advice that is free of charge and easily accessible.

BBB Accreditation is an honor - and not every company is eligible. Businesses that meet our high standards are invited to join BBB. Businesses meeting BBB standards are presented to local Boards of Directors (or designees) for review and acceptance as a BBB Accredited Business. Contractors State License Board

The Contractors State License Board protects consumers by regulating the construction industry through policies that promote the health, safety and general welfare of the public in matters relating to construction.

The Contractors State License Board will accomplish this by:

Ensuring that construction is performed in a safe, competent and professional manner;
Licensing contractors and enforcing licensing laws;
Requiring that any person practicing or offering to practice construction contracting be licensed;
Enforcing the laws, regulations and standards governing construction contracting in a fair and uniform manner;
Providing resolution to disputes that arise from construction activities; and
Educating consumers so that they make informed choices.
